Duncan McAnally (Area Manager Litcham and Swaffham)

Email: dmcommunitycoaching@hotmail.co.uk

Duncan began playing at the age of 6 for local youth clubs Southery and Shouldham before beginning with Downham (when he switched from a left back into a goalkeeper at age 12), for which he represented them from under 10's and progressing into the first team. He made his ridgeons league debut aged 16.
He began his career at King's Lynn at the age of 15, in the youth side after being recommended by his brother, Ally, who is also a goalkeeper. Duncan played regularly for the youth team and progressed to the reserve team.

In the 2004/2005 season, Duncan was a regular member of the Youth squad which won the Ridgeons youth league championship.
Duncan is still playing regularly for the reserve team and has been involved in the first team since he was aged 17, being a substitute many times. Duncan had been scouted by Ipswich Town and had trials for Norwich City and Peterborough United whilst at school. He represented Norfolk County from ages of 14 to 16 and he says his best football experience was trialing and living at Cambridge United and training with the first team.

Duncan began coaching on a part time basis in 2005 and became the goalkeeper coach whilst studying at the College of West Anglia. He began full time in September 2006, managing the Swaffham and Litcham area as well as taking responsibility of the Saturday morning disability football club.
