KLCF Advanced Girls

The Kings Lynn Community Girls Scheme was initially set up in September 2004. The program was born out of a FA supported initiative to firstly deliver girls sessions within schools in the Kings Lynn area to generate interest and enthusiasm amongst girls. Through these sessions a Girls Player Development Centre was formed in November 2004.

The girls program has continued to prosper and thrive all through the continued expansions of more girls participating on a weekly basis. Due to the high demand of this and the continued development of girls within the area. Through open-trials in 2006 four Advanced Squads are now in place for the following age groups U11’s, U12’s, U14’s and U16’s (Invitation only). The Advanced squads offer a clear progression route for girls from the PDC.

More opportunities are planned in the near future including satellite Girls PDC’s in other regions. It is the programs aim to be able to offer the same opportunities the boys are currently offered within the program. Including more Advanced fixtures against quality opposition, tours abroad to countries such as Italy and extended playing opportunities both here in the UK and abroad.
